Fall 2017 & Spring 2018 Waldkindergärten Forest Camp parents:
"Jessica and Dana have such a warm, inviting, and nurturing demeanor. These lovely ladies are exactly the kind of early educator a parent dreams of for their children. The experience and community that they created for our Fall Waldkindergärten session was magical."
"I don't know what it is about you/Dana/your program - but whatever it is, it is as if [our daughter] is a different child. For her to look forward to participating in something that doesn't involve me or my husband is really amazing."
"Our 3 year-old son loved his time at "Forest School” as he called it. The teachers are warm, caring, reliable, responsible and knowledgeable. Our son gained confidence, patience, self-reliance and new friendships at Forest School. He looked forward to his mornings there and was eager to show our family the trails that he had discovered. It is wonderful to see him have adventures in the wilderness on his own, with his peers—and he still recounts stories of his time there. Our family highly recommends this nourishing experience for young children. I always felt he was in the best place possible."
"Jessica is a compassionate and highly skilled teacher. The last three years my child has been in her outdoor based programs- she has thrived physically, emotionally, and cognitively. Jessica clearly brings her passion for early childhood development to the outdoor classroom. I would absolutely recommend Jessica's program to any parent who understands the importance of outdoor play in early childhood development."
"Our daughter LOVED forest school! Her favorite part each time was storytime in the forest. She loved both listening to the story and then retelling it for all of her friends. We love that this type of preschool setting allows our daughter to explore nature and learn about the world around us at her pace."
Regarding the teacher home visit we offer to families: "I told [our daughter] this morning that you were coming on Sunday. She is over the moon! She ran around our house singing, "I am so excited! Teacher Jessica is coming to visit me at my house!" She told all her dolls, and our dog, multiple times. And she demanded we call daddy right then to tell him too (he's traveling for work right now). She told me, "Jessica is like an auntie!" "Auntie" is the highest level of praise possible."
